He was born in Ukhta, Northern region of Russian Federation in 1969. He graduated as a pianist and composer from the specialist music school in St. Petersburg in 1987.

In 1994 he graduated from St. Petersburg Conservatoire as a pianist.

In 1992 he participated in the International Smetana Piano Competition in Czechoslovakia. He has given several solo performances in St. Petersburg and in Denmark.
